The Pit (AKA The Abyss, Tartarus) is a vast and endless realm of incohate madness. Unfortunately, even the chaos of non-existence has given birth to something like a heirarchy. The Abyss is home to five Known Realms and The Madness. The Madness is endless, and contains countless Unknown Realms. The Known Realms are important, because they have managed some level of static existence within the void. Implying that it is possible to tame its ever-shifting form. Unfortunately, the things that have tamed it are truly dreadful.

One of the five known realms is The Pit. An unending hole bored deep into reality itself and scarring deep into the depths of human consciousness through the Anima Mundi itself. The denizens of this realm tend to be shaped like worms and tentacles, but by no means is such a form exclusive. Plenty of strange demonic and abyssal things dwell in that place, in kingdoms of iron and blood.
