What can I play?
- ๐ง Changeling - Humans captured by the Gentry and modified by their time in Arcadia.
- ๐ง Mage - Humans who have seen beyond the Lie of reality and learned to modify it.
- ๐ง Vampire - Humans that have died, and been reborn as cursed blood-drinking undead.
- ๐ฟ Demon - Fallen Artificial angels lost from the God-Machines design and trying to maintain a human Cover.
- ๐บ Werewolf - Half-spirit hunters meant to maintain the balance between the spirit world and flesh world.
- ๐ Sin-Eater - Humans that died en masse brought back to life by a Bargain with a Geist that gives them a second chance.
- ๐ธ Nobility - Humans that have Bloomed into paragons of Light and goodness.
- ๐ง Human - Like you!
- ๐ง Avowed - Humans who have been fae-touched by wandering through the hedge and making bargains with changelings.
- ๐งฌ Proximi - Magical bloodlines born with connection to specific Awakened powers.
- ๐ด Sleepwalker - Humans who have interacted with enough strangeness to witness magic without quiescence, often used as assistants and spellbearers to mages.
- ๐ง Ghoul - Humans who have drank a vampire's cursed vitae, and been given a piece of their undead might along with unholy loyalty to their master.
- ๐ฆพ Stigmata - Humans who have glimpsed the God-Machine or its creations and realized what a lie their life is, forever branded by their forbidden knowledge.
- ๐ Wolf-Blooded - A person caught between spirit and flesh, but not as delicately balanced as a werebeast.
- ๐ป Absent - A ghost that spends a lot of time in meatspace.
- ๐ฏ๏ธ Beacon - A human full of so much emotion and goodness, that they serve as a supernatural resource for Nobility.
- ๐ง Sworn (Not that one) - The confusingly named mortal stewards of Nobility's mission.
How to Build a Character
- Choose your species
- Most PCs use three sets of Attributes: Mental, Physical, and Social. Assign CC points to each of these as primary, secondary, and tertiary. Primary gets 5 points, secondary gets 4, tertiary gets 3 points.
- Assign CC points to Skills, which are again separated into Mental, Physical, and Social. Your primary skill group gets 11 points, secondary gets 7, and tertiary gets 4.
- Calculate Health, Willpower, Size, Speed, Defense, and Initiative
- Assign 10 Merits points
- Choose your special abilities depending on Species
