Simon Stone is a Sin-Eater. He became an associate of WEIRD not long after being revived by the geist known as The Death Rattle, six months after his death–seemingly at the hands of The Florist.

Simon was born in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was an only child apparently raised solely by his father. He attended Harvard Law School in Cambridge, before moving to Austin, Texas to chase a lucrative career opportunity as a state prosecutor.
As an attorney, Simon was more concerned with getting the desired verdict than ethics, and it seems, at least in his view, that his violent explosive death was a form of karmic justice. His remains were cremated, and his ashes buried in Oakwood Cemetery.
In death, Simon regretted his life's work so completely that he drew the attention of The Death Rattle, a geist with a sometimes dogmatic thirst for justice. Together, they made it possible for Simon to be reanimated as a Sin-Eater, and it wasn't long before he became introduced to the wider world that had been hidden from him as a mortal.
Simon is a well-dressed but shabby-looking man in his mid-thirties. He has shaggy black hair, and red eyes that sometimes almost appear to glow. He walks with a cane, but it is unclear whether some injury requires him to use it or not. He is almost always seen in a black suit and tie.
His general demeanor is professional, but friendly. However, when he believes someone to be guilty of a great injustice, he becomes a bit more harsh.

“I thought for sure I'd wake up in hell, if there was such a place… Maybe I still will? Or maybe I already did. But that's not the way I see it right now. The way I see it now is, another chance. And whatever happens to me from here on out, I want to use everything at my disposal to seek out justice. Not verdicts, not a job well done and a paycheck collected, but real justice.”
“In an ideal world, I'd like to be an ambassador between the living and the dead. Make sure they're aware of each other's needs and hurts, and minimize harm through cooperation. That said, death changes your perspective on a lot of things. The world is full victims, and their pain doesn't end just because they're dead.”
