A coalition of Others first organized by the Ashen Court, WEIRD was established in order to create a beacon of strangeness amidst the oppressive traditionalism of the Southern United States. The good news is, it worked! Austin is a shining jewel in the Bible Belt, home to anything that doesn't fit the norm in a city where even the Sleepers are sometimes stranger. The bad news? It worked a little too well. Various organizations dedicated to maintaining the status quo and stamping out the individual have found a common enemy in Austin, Texas.
